Sunday was the last sermon to be given by Right Reverend Bruce McMillan at Christ Episcopal Church. Having been an Episcopalian throughout my childhood and early adult life, I tuned in and watched live on Facebook. For anyone out there who may be curious or who would like to watch an invigorating service, the video is posted on the church’s Facebook page. Good luck to the Episcopal Church in finding a replacement for someone who has been a fixture of their church family for decades. Godspeed to Bruce in the next chapter of his life.

Marshall Academy will be hosting the Tunica Blue Devils Friday night at Heath Barnett Field for homecoming. Kick off for the match-up is at 7 p.m. and presentation of the maids will be at halftime. This year they have done something a little differently and have included seventh, eighth and ninth grade homecoming maids. The weather looks like it is going to be incredible for the game. Go out and support the Patriots and grab a burger from the concession stand while you are at it!
