Charlie Shaw - one of our friendliest residents

With all of the unrest our country faces, it is nice to see our community helping one another. Officers with Holly Springs Police Department have done their best checking in on businesses, helping to feed those less fortunate and being visible in town. It is reassuring to know they are all here to help in even the smallest of situations.

It warmed my heart over the weekend when I saw Charlie Shaw helping a new neighbor. I was driving home and saw a few people milling around in the front of a home. Low and behold, there was Charlie’s truck backed up and him in the middle of the group. If you know Charlie, you know he is always there to help anybody. He has to be one of the friendliest residents we have in Holly Springs by far.

Please keep Sloan McClatchy and her family in your prayers. She was involved in an accident Sunday night which involved two fatalities. At press time, she is in The Med and on the mend.

Words escape me. Please remember Christian Comp ton and Michael Taylor – two lives that ended way too soon, but two who had a wonderful impact on all who knew them.
