Robin Seale spent the weekend in Jackson celebrating the 7th birthday of her beautiful granddaughter, Hallie Seale. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ben Seale Jr.

Monday night was well spent in Tupelo by Grace Bonds, Dunn Boatwright and Wynne and Paxton Clark. Santa brought Paxton tickets to see his favorite team, the Harlem Globetrotters. They all had a wonderful time watching the antics of the players and also participating and meeting them on the court!

There’s no scarier thing in the world than to hear tornado sirens in a dead sleep. The majority of readers will be able to relate, as we had that occur early Saturday morning. Messages went out, phone calls made and family hunkered down expecting the worst. Fortunately, we were spared the damage DeSoto County, as well as the Chulahoma community, suffered. One family was stuck inside their tornado shelter. The quick response of both the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Dunn Boatwright freed them within a short amount of time. Our emergency management system was put into place and proved to be a great source of help in times of need.

Christ Episcopal Church is hosting their annual spaghetti supper this Thursday night from 4:30 to 7 p.m.. Adult plates are $10 and children, $5. Not only will you receive amazing hospitality by the Episcopalians, you will also receive spaghetti, slaw, bread and a tasty dessert. It is dine in or carry out. It is a great way to support our community and have a warm, delicious meal to boot!
