Sunday, December 1, Carole Jean “Gran” Taylor was honored with an 80th birthday celebration. The First Baptist Church fellowship hall was overflowing with family and friends wishing her well. If you are fortunate enough to know “Gran,” you are certainly better for it. She is always all smiles, no matter where you see her! Here’s to many more amazing years of being positively wonderful!
Once again, the ladies of Belles and Books hosted a gorgeous luncheon Saturday at the Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery. Each table was elegantly decorated by members and the food was brunch fare. A delicate mushroom and sausage crepe, cheese grits, spinach stuffed Roma tomatoes, fresh fruit and Landry’s rolls made a lovely plate. The meal ended with a delicious chocolate tart topped with vanilla ice cream and a raspberry finishing sauce. Julie Hibbing, former Holly Springs resident, had a table selling her incredible handmade jewelry.
Big Happy Birthday wishes go out to Brennan Smith, who turns 11 Thursday. If you happen to see him out and about, be sure to wish him well!
