Stefanie and Charlie Douglas of Flowood stopped in Oxford and picked up Chandler Douglas before heading to Holly Springs. They visited with Leigh Douglas for a bit in the morning before heading to the Grove where Chandler performed with the Pride of the South band prior to the Ole Miss and Texas A&M game.

Mary Glen and Patrick Carlton, along with their children Mary Grace and William, of Birmingham, Ala., were the weekend guests of Vicki and Walter Webb. The foursome attended the Ole Miss football game Saturday night in Oxford.

Be sure to get to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, to exercise your right to vote. Unlike the primaries, you are able to vote bipartisan in this election. There are a lot of important governmental seats open, so it is imperative each and every registered voter does so. It is always disheartening to see the percentage of registered voters who actually do make it to the polls. Let’s surprise the rest of the state and show up by the masses.
