Belles and Books Festival huge success

Charlie and Jane Farris took advantage of the long holiday weekend and drove to Missouri. They toured Cape Girardeau before driving on to Columbia for the Ole Miss vs. Missouri football game. While there, they tailgated with Ole Miss fans from Boston, Mass., and St. Louis, Mo. On the way home they spent one night in Branson.

Alexa and Layla Farese of Oxford spent the weekend with their grandparents, Vivian and Eugene Smith.

Sweet little Graham Clayton made his fall appearance Saturday night at the Food Truck Festival just down from his grandparents’ (Lisa and Greg Shaw) home. He donned a precious off-white “teddy” jacket with ears and all, as well as precious brown shoes.

Everyone enjoyed the festival hosted by the ladies of Belles and Books. The weather could not have been better. The street was lined with tables and chairs, music played for all to dance and food trucks had hot and ready yummies. Hopefully this event will be repeated.

Hannah Williams of Madison was the weekend guest of her mother, Robin McNeill. While here, she visited with her siblings and nieces and nephews.
