Congratulations to the Marshall Academy Patriots basketball team. They swept their district tournament at home last week, advancing them to the 1-AA North Half tournament, which began play Tuesday. The Patriots are hosting, so if you want to see some good basketball, make your way to Frank Swords Gymnasium Friday and Saturday!

Senior Lady Patriots Erin Lomenick, Mary Neely Jones, Peyton Stephenson and KK Parks - what a tremendous ride it was watching y’all play. Some began in pee wee and some coming in later – leaving it all on the court and moving towards bigger adventures in this life. Y’all will be missed in the gym!

Happiest of birthday wishes to John Lawson McMinn. He celebrated a whole 4 years over the weekend with a big party!

Wynne and Paxton Clark of Fulton were the weekend guests of Grace Bonds and Dunn. While here, they had a mock birthday party with all the fanfare!

Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, is the guest of Kay and Laura Wheeler this week.
