Caitlyn Brooks and Trace Bray honored with Mardis Gras theme party at Art Gallery

Get well wishes to Bruce Branch, head baseball coach at Marshall Academy. Hope he is back on the field soon!

Caitlyn Brooks, Trace Bray, Jamie Lyn Smith and William Hairston, all of Cleveland, were the weekend guests of Kay and Laura Wheeler.

Saturday night, the Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery was transformed into something one would see when attending the fanfare in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Caitlyn Brooks and Trace Bray were honored with a bar and tool party hosted by Mrs. Becky Cupp, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Cupp Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Walker Cupp, Ms. Nancy Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kazemba, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Sandor Varadi.

The couple each received a fun Mardi Gras accessory to complement the evening’s theme. Gumbo over rice was served in individual cups, also a wide array of pinwheels, cheeses, meats and a hot spinach artichoke dip. Delicious king cake mini cupcakes and cakes were the perfect ending to the meal. Guests enjoyed a fun photo booth and Cajun music.
