Welcome to the wonderful world of being a grandparent to Tammy McGreger. Her precious grandson, Hudson Lee McGreger, came into this world December 3 weighing 6 pounds and 13 ounces and he was 18” long. Congratulations to Zoe and Devin McGreger, too, on the birth of their first son.

Mindy and Steve Gresham welcomed their newest granddaughter, Elizabeth Parrish Dodson, Saturday, December 7. Proud big sister, Nell, was just as excited. Ellen and Houston Dodson are the proud parents of their latest edition, Liza. Welcome to the world, precious girl.

The ladies of Belles and Books outdid themselves once again with an absolutely delicious luncheon Saturday. The doors of the Kate Freeman Clark art gallery had beautiful wreaths made of magnolia leaves, red pears, small apples and limes with sprigs of fresh greenery. Very festive and unique. As the luncheon attendees waited for the doors to open, they were treated to delicious refreshments. The checkin table was manned by Tammy Cupp, Bea Green and Vivian Smith, all dressed to the nines in their holiday frocks. The highlight of the luncheon was getting to hug the neck of Landry Hearn. To know her is absolutely to love her and seeing her just made my heart whole.

Susie Murphy, Melissa East-Westbrook, Tammy Cupp and Tiffany Babb were in attendance at the Belles and Books luncheon. Melissa and all of her Oxford friends support the ladies’ club every holiday season.

Welcome to the 50s club, Jennifer McMinn. Here’s to another year of being simply fabulous.

940 Outdoor & Co. was the site of the Marshall Academy Winter Formal Saturday night. The event space was decked out in holiday cheer and the students, as well as some parents, had a wonderful time dancing the night away. Jon Grey Morrison, Landry Loper, Charlie Johnson and Brennan Smith are magazine worthy in their attire for the Christmas formal.
