LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Spread some smiles all over our city

To the Editor and People of Holly Springs:

A smile is a facial expression in which the eyes brighten and the corner of the mouth curves slightly upward and express pleasure. A smile is an encouraging appearance of joy.

For a few days, try to wear a smile. Why? Number one, because you are still alive, and because we are so blessed in Holly Springs. Think about how many times the storms have gone around or passed by our city.

It’s impossible to stay angry when you smile. Smile at the garbage person who picks up your trash. Give a smile to the police officers who protect us. What would our town be without them?

How about smiling at the person at the cash register who has to endure our not-so-good attitudes for hours each day? How about smiling at the person who doesn’t look like you who you work with or pass each day? How about giving a smile to the person next door?

Let’s spread smiles all over our city. This is where we live. It won’t cost you any money.

Sincerely,
Autriniece Folsom
