Letter to the Editor

· Praying for the Town

Dear Editor

For many years I have subscribed to The South Reporter.

I appreciate so much the writer attending and recording aldermen meetings and printing true news so we readers know what events are taking place in the town and country.

I'm in sincere prayer for the town and my hope is order can be brought as it should be – to restore respect and subjection as it should be for all aldermen; to vote in harmony. Some people simply walk out of meetings and disrupt the gatherings and even the mayor has done so.

The man that was elected to be in charge of the utility department is grossly mistreated. He knows what he is doing. It's against the Labor Laws of the State to fire him without going through proper channels. Letters mailed to him and explanations of any “failure” on his part as position he renders – I hope he is armed with good legal defense – a “Jackson” attorney of our state will protect him.

Thank you for The South Reporter

Sincerely,

Eva Dunlap Ibarra
