Bank of Holly Springs

Letter to the Editor

Thank you to my alderman

Letter to the Editor:

I would like to personally and publicly thank my alderman, Mark Miller, for his prompt attention to two concerns that I was interested in being corrected. Several years ago, as I drove around the square, I realized the yellow markings on the street had faded so much that people were not driving in the appropriate sections of the street. I called Mark and asked if we could get the yellow markings repainted, and he assured me that he would work on it. Not long after my call, the work began and the driving and turn lanes were very clear!

This past week I realized that a pile of  leaves had not been picked up in three weeks. But it was small and no problem. However, after adding a huge amount of leaves that had been on the curb about four days, I decided that I would give Mark a call. Late Thursday when it was beginning to get dark, I called to see if there was any way to get the leaves picked up since I was having guests from my church that night. Mark said, “I’ll take care of it.”

I have no idea how he got it done, but I was delighted that the leaves were gone when I had my first look out the front door early Friday morning! When it was done, I do not know, but Mark took care of it.

So, thanks to you, Mark, for listening and taking care of the business of Holly Springs. I appreciate you.

Sincerely,
Carole Taylor
