Fundraiser for Bryson will be planned in near future

Life with the new medication has settled down. For a few days, the side effects made me want to toss it. I could barely function, was in pain, was constantly nauseated, and needed to rest almost around the clock. I contacted my doctor but before we could come up with a plan, either my body adjusted, the prayers I was sending up were answered, or I had something else going on during this time. Whatever the reason, I am grateful to be better and would appreciate your prayers that this medication takes on the challenge of repairing my liver.

Floor replacement and new flooring should be completed by the time you read this. There is much to do in painting walls, painting furniture, decluttering, cleaning, and rearranging. I try to do what I am able but only last for short periods of time. I have entirely too much furniture since my Doug loved to buy furniture at Goodwill, estate/yard sales even when I said, “Please don’t come home with more furniture.” I inherited a few old family pieces that I do not wish to part with if I can make them fit. I have been able to sell one nice piece that I simply did not have room for. One piece fell from its temporary storage spot and broke. I was almost glad. I will be able to use it in the garage or shed for shelving.

Physical therapy continues on the shoulder. I push through most of the exercises, as they are helping. For the first time this week, I had to stop a new exercise that was more painful than I could tolerate. We will try it again next week. For me, surgery is not even in the picture unless it gets much worse. My experience last year tells me my body does not handle surgery well.

For those who follow Bryson’s story, he continues to regress. He does now have a diagnosis of a rare genetic disease. He is a patient at Lebonuer on a regular basis with consults with St. Jude. He is so frustrated that he cannot do the things he wants to. Please lift him up in your prayers and if you wish to donate to his fund to try and purchase a handicap van just contact me at the info below and I will tell you how. We are planning a fundraiser in the near future and would love to have help with it also, Ball registration continues in Byhalia. You can register your children online at Byhalia-MS.com or in person week- days at Byhalia Town Hall. Deadline for registration is February

28 but please register as soon as possible to help with team planning. I have been advised by the new Holly Springs Park and Recreation Director that Holly Springs will have a program this year. Watch for their registration information. Potts Camp also plans to participate along with a possible program starting up in Benton County. I will share more info on these programs as I receive it.
