Willie Pryor
Willie Pryor, 91, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 4, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The widower of Ellen Scruggs Pryor, he was a member of Chulahoma MB Church in Holly Springs where he served as a church deacon, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired laborer with the railroad.
Services were held at 12 noon on Feb. 10 at Chulahoma MB Church. Rev. Lonnie Whitfield officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves four daughters, Bobbie Jean Thompson and Brenda Faye Thompson, both of Waterford, Mattie L. Scruggs of Holly Springs, Carolyn D. Byers of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Willie Lee Pryor of Holly Springs, Curtis Pryor of Ridgeland; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cellistean Wilkins; two sisters, Ethel L. Jeffries and Corrine James; three brothers, LeRoy Pryor, Jessie Pryor and John Pryor Jr.
