Willie Lucas Jr.

Willie Lucas Jr., 68, of Maywood, Ill., formerly of Holly Springs, died January 12, 2023, at Loyola University Medical Center. He was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church, a truck driver and welder at Duo-Fast in Franklin Park, Ill.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 27 from 3-6 p.m. and at Pleasant Grove MB Church on Jan. 28 from 1010:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Alberoderick Neely will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

He leaves a daughter, Chiquita Lucas Hicks of Collierville, Tenn.; sisters, Annie Hardaway of Chicago, Ill., Virginia Lasenby of Plainfield, Ill., Patricia Lucas of Holly Springs; brothers, John Lucas of Holly Springs; Wilfred Lucas of Ducanville, Texas, Luquinton Lucas of Huntsville, Ala., Vaccaro Bell Sr. of Maywood, Ill.; one grandson and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lucas Sr., Mattie Lee Johnson Lucas; brothers, Strauther Bell Jr. and Willie Lee Bell.
