Willie Lee "Mae Lee" Kirkwood, 71, of Abbeville, died February 20, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS. She was a member of East St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Oxford School District.
Visitation will be held at East St. Peter MB Church on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a daughter, Tammie Kirkwood of Holly Springs; son, Travis Kirkwood of Oxford; brother, Michael Jackson (Shirley) of Millington, Tenn.; sisters, Rosie Lee Buford of Oxford, Dorothy Ann Jackson of Memphis, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, M.C. Jarrett.
