Willie Hubert Wells

Willie Hubert Wells, 98, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died June 27, 2025, at his daughter's home. He was a member of Mt. Peel MB Church where he served as a church deacon. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and retired from Marshall County Bus Shop.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 11 from 4-6 p.m. and on July 12 at Mt. Peel MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Rondias Cox, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his children, Willie Wells Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Curtis Wells of Senatobia, Patricia Wells Savage of Dolton, Ill., Ctrenia Wells Jones of Memphis, Harry Hope of Ill., Dorothy Miller of Holly Springs, Opatria Isom Akins of Plano, Texas, Willie H. Isom of Memphis, Regan C. Isom of North Carolina; sisters, Cleopatria Pryor of Holly Springs, Alice Bonk, Erma Sue Thompson, both of Chicago, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Mae Wells; and sister, Ora Lee Webb.
