Willie Blackmon

Willie Blackmon, 83, of Holly Springs, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died July 14, 2023, at his home. He attended Davis Temple Church and was a former member of Isom Chapel CME Church. He was retired from Herse Con Construction Co. in Chicago.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 21 from 3-6 p.m. and on July 22 from 10-10:55 a.m. at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries with services at 11 a.m. Bishop Robert Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Mabel Blackmon; daughters, Gloria Williams, Loren Blackmon both of Holly Springs, Jasmine Blackmon of Oxford, Ariana Blackmon of Holly Springs, Briana Blackmon of Los Angeles, Calif., Vernetta Griffin of Rossville, Tenn.; sons, Larry Blackmon, Terry Wayne Blackmon, both of Holly Springs, James Dortch of Slayden; sisters, Mary Johnson of Greenville, Della Jones of New Albany; brother, Emby Stephens of Holly Springs; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Blackmon; siblings, Eddie Stephens, Charles Stephens, Joe Stephens, Marvell Stephens and Lorenzo Stephens
