William Earl Newsom

William Earl Newsom, 69, of Byhalia, died October 16, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center of Corinth. He attended the Church of Christ and was a construction worker at H&W Roofing.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 22 from 4-7 p.m. with graveside services at Newell Chapel Church Cemetery in Victoria on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. Rev. Curtis Nelson will officiate.

He leaves a daughter, Melissa Hearns of Olive Branch; sons, Jordan Hearn of Olive Branch, DeWayne Tunstall of Byhalia; sisters, Jerlene Tyson of Byhalia, Michelle Newsom of Charlotte, NC, Patricia Jones of Las Vegas, Nev., Rosie Jean Newsom of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Jessie Newsom, Charles Newsom, Larry Newsom, all of Byhalia; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hearn Newsom; son, Kevin Tunstall; siblings, Frank Newsom, Robert Newsom and Bobby Jones.
