William Arthur Jackson

William Arthur Jackson, 73, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Ashland, died Nov. 8, 2019, at Methodist Hospital South in Memphis. He was a former member of Palestine MB Church in Michigan City. He was a retired machine operator at Sonoco Printing Co. in Memphis and a United States Army veteran.

Visitation will be held Nov. 15 from 2-6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and Nov. 16, from 1:30-2:25 p.m. at Samuel Chapel MB Church in Ashland. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Rickey Ball will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves two sons, Dariel Jackson and David Jackson, both of Memphis; one sister, Verlean Nash of Ashland; one brother, James Jackson of Ashland; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Harris and Ionia Jackson.
