Wheatley Abram Brown Sr.

Wheatley Abram Brown Sr., 97, of Holly Springs, died July 27, 2022, at Holly Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare. He was a member of Calvin Chapel UM Church, a member of the United Methodist Men, member of the Masonic Lodge and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 5 from 1-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on August 6 at Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Fred H. Brown will officiate.

He leaves his daughters, Charlie Ann Hayes-Fant of Horn Lake, Sandra Lynn Gaskin of Layton, Utah; grandson and caregiver, Wheatley A. Brown III of Okolona; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carnell Jones Brown; son, Wheatley Abram Brown Jr.; siblings, Ida Mae Rogers, Willie Brady Brown Jr., and Charles Victor Brown.
