Wesley Hardy Ray
Wesley Hardy Ray, 86, of Slayden, died April 1, 2018, at Christopher’s Personal Care Home in Holly Springs. The widower of Althea Larson Ray, he was a vice president at Troxel; co-owner and vice president of Marshall County Lumber Co. Inc., a Marine veteran, Staff Sgt., E6 and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Services were held on April 3 at 11 a.m. at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Slayden Cemetery.
He leaves two sons, Tommy Ray (Alice) of Holly Springs, Johnny Ray (Leah) of Southaven; two daughters, Judy Buchanan (Mack) of New Albany, Karen Kimbriel (Craig) of Nesbit; a brother, retired Col. Roy Ray (Eleanor) of Slayden; a sister, Irene Wisley of Bartlett, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
