Wavor T. Harris Sr.

Wavor T. Harris Sr., 78, of Chulahoma, died September 28, 2022, at his home. He was a member of Smith Grove MB Church where he served as a Head Deacon, Supt. of Sunday School and sang in the male chorus. He was a retired mechanic for Sam Mitchell Ford of Senatobia.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 8 from 12-4 p.m. and at Smith Grove MB Church on Oct. 9 at from 1010:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Pastor Michael Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his daughters, Gloria Harris of Horn Lake, Marristeen Harris, Portia Crain, both of Olive Branch; sons, Wavor T. Harris Jr. of Chulahoma, Rickey Harris of Byhalia, James Terrel Harris of Chulahoma, Walter Lee Harris of Byhalia; sisters, Bobbie Jean Cox, Bobbie Ann Harris, both of Sandusky, Ohio, Theresa Mosley, Edna Earl Woods, both of Chulahoma, Kajavia Harmon of Oxford; brothers, John Hubbard Harris of Hickory Flat, Wallace Harris of Abbeville, Travis Harris of Bartlett, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wardna Lynn Harris; siblings, Gloria Newsom, Lucille Buford and Bobby Seal Harris.
