Waurene Going, 97, of Byhalia, died Nov. 19, 2020, at Methodist Olive Branch. The widow of John Byrd Going Jr., she was a member of First Baptist Church of Byhalia, and a teacher.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 23 at Byhalia Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves an adopted granddaughter, Joylyn Jones-Irving; nephews, Bobby Mathis of Holly Springs, Ricky Weatherly of Byhalia, George Mathis of Deland, Fla.; and eight grandnieces and nephews.
