Walter Thomas "Blind" Rooks

Walter Thomas "Blind" Rooks, 73, of Holly Springs, died March 30, 2024, at his home. He was a member of Powell Chapel MB Church in Holly Springs and was a landscaper.

A visitation only will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel on April 12 from 3-6 p.m.

He leaves his wife, Carol Woods Rooks; sons, LeSean Shandell Rooks Sr., Lamonte Woods, both of Holly Springs, Antwan Boyland (Amanda) of Fla.; brothers, Joe Ray Rooks of Holly Springs, Freddie Rooks of Fla., Robert Rooks of St. Paul, Minn., James Richard Rooks of La.; sister, Brenda Faye Stinson (Lawrence) of Holly Springs; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and former wife, Bettye Jean Rooks Greer of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, George Rooks, Milton Rooks, Sylvester Rooks, Clarence Rooks; sisters, Doril Sharp, Dorris McDaniel, Mattie Rooks and Martha Rooks.
