Walter Douglas Gurley Sr.

Walter Douglas Gurley Sr., 88, of Courtland, died January 13, 2024, at Water Valley Nursing Home. He was a Baptist minister and a business owner.
Visitation will be held at noon on Jan. 27 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with a memorial service at 1 p.m.
He leaves two sons, Doug Gurley (Donna), Tom Gurley (Charan); daughters, Rhonda Herron (Rick), Celine Bell (Donnell); sisters, Louise Salter (Ralph), Suzie Gilliland, June Watson, Pat Cole, Betty Tuttle; brothers, Phil Gurley, Jr. Gurley (Wanda); 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Gurley Jr. and Marion Gurley.
