Versie Smith Turnage

Versie Smith Turnage, 94, of Holly Springs, died June 6, 2020, at her home. The widow of Raymond Turnage Sr., she was a member of Mt. Teamer CME Church and a homemaker.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on June 10 at Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Rev. Linda Coopwood officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three daughters, Brenda Beard of Chicago, Ill., Articue Martin of Potts Camp, Costella T. Mason of Holly Springs; four sons, Raymond Turnage Jr., Clark Turnage, Cravin Turnage, all of Holly Springs, Freeman Turnage of Memphis, Tenn.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Leotha Wicks and Felton Turnage; and a brother, T.C. Smith.
