Vernon Ray Finner

Vernon Ray Finner, 62, of Chicago, Ill., died June 4, 2021, at Advocate Christ Medical Hospital in Chicago. He was a member of Grace Memorial MB Church and worked for the U.S. Post Office.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on June 18 at New Nation Annointed Ministries in Chicago.

He leaves his wife, Virginia (Cookie) Hall Finner; one daughter, Antoinette N. Finner of Chicago; stepdaughters, Tiffany Hall of Chicago, Kimberly Phillips of Windermere, Fla.; one son, Vernon A. Finner of Chicago; his mother, Steptoria Finner of Holly Springs; three brothers, Creed D. Finner (Mary) of Chicago, Alvin Finner (Shanta) of Oxford, Don Williams (Cherciel) of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Carolyn M. Beale (Johnnie) of Fayetteville, Ga., and Shanette N. Folsom (Willie) of Waterford.

He was preceded in death by his father, Creed Finner; stepson, Anderson (Jay) Hall; brothers, Donald R. Jefferies, and Darren P. Finner.
