Vernelle Winter, 81, of Holly Springs, died June 17, 2020. A member of First United Methodist Church of Holly Springs, she joined at the age of 7. She taught 2-3 year olds in Sunday School for 18 years and was a member of the church choir. She taught school for over 30 years.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on June 20 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Tommy Winter; one son, Howard Winter (Amanda) of Oakland, Tenn.; one daughter, Prentis Boatwright (Phil) of Myrtle; one sister, Mary Ella Woods Gilbert of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Prentis Woods and Lloyd Woods.
