Velma Dale Hunter, 79, of Hickory Flat, died Feb. 8, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-New Albany. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hickory Flat and worked in food service.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in McKay Cemetery in Hickory Flat.
She leaves a son, Butch Hunter of Hickory Flat; daughter, Lynn Lunsford of Hickory Flat; brother, Tyrus Luther of Hickory Flat; sister, Shelby Rhynes of Baldwyn; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Herman Hunter; and a son, Chuck Hunter.
