Van Cook

Van Cook, 83, of New Albany, died July 7, 2019, at New Albany Health and Rehab. The widower of Veda Mead Cook, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a machine operator and U.S. Air Force veteran.

Visitation will be held on July 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel, with services at 1 p.m. on July 11. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

He leaves one son, Gerald Cook of Oxford; a daughter, Susan Mooneyhan of New Albany; one brother, Abrom Curtis Cook Jr. of Holly Springs; one sister, Larence Speaks of Warner Robins, Ga.; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Smith.
