Ulysses Grant Ellis

Ulysses Grant Ellis, 49, of Byhalia, died Sept. 27, 2020. He was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria and worked at Facility Service in Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Oct. 1 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Pastor Curtis Nelson will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Priscilla Holt Ellis of Memphis; daughter, Ucilla M. Ellis of Memphis; mother, Moznnia Ellis of Byhalia; sisters, Katie Woods of Barton, Mozella Webb, Betty Washington, Gracie Ellis, Evangeline Tunstall, all of Byhalia, Gail Harden of Southaven, Peggy Jones of Chulahoma, Bertha Hinton of Olive Branch, and Arlene Jones of Nashville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Banks; three brothers, Joe Ellis Jr., Jerry Ellis, and Cecil Guy.
