Troy Buggs

Troy Buggs, 73, of Michigan City, died April 12, 2026. He was a member of Hardaway Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Carrier Corporation.

Services were held at Hardaway MB Church on April 19 at 2 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Pearley Buggs; sons, Tyrrell Osler (Angela) of Killeen, Texas, Justin Buggs of Michigan City; daughter, Lydia Buggs of Olive Branch; sisters, Loyce Scott, Valandy Poplar, Rosie Rucker (Dwight), all of Michigan City, Annie Jackson (Kenneth) of Grand Junction, Tenn.; brothers, Jasper Buggs Sr., Le Buggs, Danny Lee Buggs (Joann), Charles Buggs (Sandra), all of Michigan City; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, E.L. Buggs, Rickey Lee Buggs; sisters, Floyce Hunt and Mae L. Nelson.
