Travis Dwayne Valentine

Travis Dwayne Valentine, 71, of Young Harris, Ga., died July 3, 2020, at his home. He grew up in Slayden. He entered the Air Force in 1969, serving in Vietnam. He worked in the heating and air business.

A private family memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 11 at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church in Young Harris, Ga. North Georgia Honor Guard will present military honors. Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Myra Turner Valentine; a son, Martin Wayne Valentine (Irene) of Peachtree City, Ga.; a daughter, Amanda Valentine Blackstone (Lt. Col. Stephen) of Warner Robins, Ga.; sisters, Patricia Box of Denver, NC, Renee Coombe of Salem, Conn.; a brother, Roy Valentine of Lamar; and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your choice, Sharp United Methodist Church Pastor's Discretionary Fund, P.O. Box 66, Young Harris, Ga. 30582 or Wounded Warriors.
