T.H. Austin

T.H. Austin, 82, of Byhalia, died March 9, 2022, at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tenn. He was a retired supervisor of over 30 years at CPI in Memphis and also a farmer.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on March 19 at Bibleway Outreach Fellowship Cemetery. Bishop Renzil Barringer, pastor, officiated. Gillespie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Lizzie Mae Austin; seven sons, Sherwin Austin (Jennare) of Red Banks, James Austin (Hattie), Tony Austin (Andrea), Jujuan Austin (Alisa), Keatris Austin (Lora) all of Byhalia, Travinsky Austin (Allitta) of Olive Branch and Tavaris Austin of Oxford; four daughters, Brenda Brassell (Johnny) of Oxford, Lauri Nwaigwe and Chrisundra Howard of Nashville, Tenn., Namiko Ingram of Byhalia; brothers, Willie Sessom Jr (Linda), George Sessom (Beatrice), Roosevelt Sessom, Onia Sessom (Patricia) and Alvin Sessom, Willie Jr-Sonny Austin (Bonnie), James Austin, Will Austin, Wyatt Austin, Kelvin Austin (Ruby) and Novel Austin; sisters, Ella Mae Wheeler, Alice Baker, Ida Mae Martin, Dora Jones, Dorothy Cox, Dorothy Jean Hyder, Hattie Griggs (Craig) and Eula Moore; 23 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (JB) Sessom, Odell Sessom, Andrew Austin, Percy Austin and Curtis Austin; sisters, Alla Jones and Daisy Moore.
