Terry Lynn Gatewood

Terry Lynn Gatewood, 62, of Byhalia, died Jan. 10, 2020, at Vanderbilt Medical Center Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ, where he was the song leader.

Services were held at 12 noon on Jan. 18 at Cornerstone Church of Christ in Cayce. Pastor Jimmy Stokes officiated. Burial was in Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Red Banks. H.C. Jett - H.C. Ford and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Mary Francis (Mae) Goodman Gatewood; brothers, Velva Lee Gatewood of Memphis, Tenn., Henry C. Gatewood of Jacksonville, Fla., John W. Gatewood, Wallace C. Gatewood (Brenda), both of Byhalia, Winford Neeley (Betty) of Olive Branch, Alvin Pritchard (Diffy) of Holly Springs; sisters, Lillie M. Brown, Alameda Smith (Gerald) of Byhalia, Loretta Gates (Wade) of Tupelo, and Kathryn Houston of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie L. Gatewood, Arthur Gatewood, Elvin Gatewood and Vannie Gatewood; and one sister, Earnestine Gatewood-Sykes.
