Teaster Thomas Baird Sr.

Teaster Thomas Baird Sr., 90, of Lamar, died November 27, 2025, at his home. He was a member of Samuel Chapel MB Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He was a United States Navy veteran and retired attendance officer for the Benton County School System.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 6 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. And on Dec. 7 at Samuel Chapel MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. With services at 11 a.m. Rev. Rickey Ball, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Frances M. Everett Baird; daughters, Connie Thomas of Madison, Carolyn Coleman of Fountain Valley, Calif.; sons, Maurice Baird of New Orleans, La., Teaster Baird Jr. of BrisBane Calif., Brian Baird of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Melba Clark Payne of Meridian, Doris Baird of Calif.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Flora Mason, Chester Douglas, Lucille Elliott, Robert Frank Baird, and Marvin Lewis Baird.
