Sylvester Wooten

Sylvester Wooten, 59, of Coldwater, died September 30, 2022, in Batesville. He was a member of West Antioch #2 in Coldwater and a former warehouse worker at LP Brown.

Services were held at 11 a.m on Oct. 8 at West Antioch #2 Church with burial in Mt. Patient Cemetery in Senatobia. Rodgers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his daughters, Alacondria Wooten of Como, Evesal Gardner, Jalesha Gardner, both of Senatobia; sons, Marcus Wooten, Jimmie Wooten Sr., both of Grand Rapids, Mich; sisters, Vernessa Ward of Senatobia, Josie Carr of Coldwater, Pattie Sue Jackson of Senatobia, Murry Jean Black of Sardis, Marie Worles of Senatobia, Isabella Milan of Byhalia; brothers, Murry Wooten Jr., Lander Wooten, Melvin Wooten, all of Senatobia, James Wooten, Chester Wooten, both of Como, Eddie B. Newson, Willie B. Newson, both of Byhalia, Kenneth Newson of Southaven, Robert Newson of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Lavarn Newson of Como, Vinson Porter of Senatobia; special friend Patsy Oliver of Coldwater; and 10 grandchildren.
