Sylvester Lester Jr.

Sylvester Lester Jr., 67, of Corinth, formerly of Potts Camp, died June 28, 2018, at his home. He retired in 2004 as operational supervisor at Kimberly-Clark, in Corinth, after 36 years. He was on his church deacon board, secretary/treasurer at church, president of the Men of Mission, Sunday school teacher and a 2001 graduate of Faulkner University in Montgomery, Ala.

Services were held at 12 noon on July 2 at Mt. Ollie MB Church in Potts Camp, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Mable Malone Lester; two children, Clarisa Yolanda Lester-Grayson of Florence, Ala., Sylvester Lester III of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Frankie Elaine Reed and Annie Lester, both of Potts Camp; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Lester, James “Tot” Lester, Jessie Lester; and two sisters, Zettie Reed and Lucille Lester.
