Susie B. Sims Vaughn

Susie B. Sims Vaughn, 76, of Holly Springs, died May 5, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. She was a member of Hebron Chapel CME Church where she served as a church treasure, stewart, trustee and president of the usher board. She was a retired certified nurses assistant in Home Health Care.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on May 11 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.and on May 13 at Anderson Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Eddie Joe Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her daughters, Mary Jones, Brenda Gray, Linda Hicks, all of Holly Springs; sons, Derrick Vaughn, Travis Vaughn, both of Holly Springs, Roy Anthony Vaughn of Olive Branch; sisters, Lucy Boyd of Holly Springs, Lillian Davis of Houston, Texas; brother, Jasper "O-Boy" Hughes of Holly Springs; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Vaughn; daughter, Royal Wanda Vaughn; siblings, Clarence Cochran Jr., Lloyd Sims, Nathan Hughes, Joshua Hughes, Annie Jones, Mary Dowdy, Joe Nathan Hughes, Joe Louis Hughes and John Lee Hughes.
