Supt. Robert Lee Hamilton Sr., 84, died Mar. 7, 2021, at Baptist Memorial HospitalNew Albany. He was the pastor of Golden Gate Cathedral COGIC and superintendent of the Glorious Gate District.

Visitation will be held at Golden Gate Cathedral COGIC on Mar. 18 from 2-3:55 p.m. with services at 4 p.m.; and visitation at Pentecostal Temple COGIC in Memphis, Tenn., on Mar. 19 from 3-4:55 p.m. with services on Mar. 19 at 5 p.m. Burial will be at 12 noon on Mar. 20 at Memorial Park Southwood in Memphis. Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 62 years, Betty J. Hamilton; two daughters, Cathy D. Hamilton-Coleman, Pamela R. Hamilton-Castaneda; two sons, Robert L. Hamilton Jr., and Norman F. Hamilton Sr..

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Robin L. Reynolds and Regina M. Coleman.
