Sue Rowland

Sue Rowland, 73, of Potts Camp, died Jan. 4, 2021, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and she was an art teacher.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Salem Baptist Cemetery in Potts Camp. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Billy Dean Rowland; two sons, Jay Rowland (Roxanne), Jon Rowland both of Potts Camp; two daughters, Rhonda Smothers (Greg) of Olive Branch, Deanna Knight of Oxford; brother, Mitchell Gurley of Potts Camp; seven sisters, Margaret Hart of Holly Springs, Mary Minor, Joan Gurley, Doris Poole, Jeanette Stone, all of Potts Camp, Pam Gurley of Memphis, Tenn., Nancy Green of Potts Camp; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Edward Gurley, Charles Gurley; and one granddaughter, Elena Smothers.
