Shirley Gilliom Isom

Shirley Gilliom Isom, 64, of Holly Springs, formerly of Abbeville, died May 1, 2024, at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was a member of House of Prayer Church in Memphis, Tenn., where she served as church usher and missionary. She was retired from Olin-Winchester Inc. in Oxford.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on May 10 from 3-6 p.m. and on May 11 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 11-11:55 a.m. with services at 12 noon. Bishop David Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her husband, Chester Lee Isom; daughters, Sylvia Clayborn of Olive Branch, Gina Wooten of Meridian; sons, Chester DeMario Isom of Horn Lake, Matwayne Isom of Potts Camp, LaKendrick Scruggs of Holly Springs; sisters, Lena Porter of Memphis, Joann Hood of Abbeville, Earline Hudson, Ethel Goolsby, Betty Faye Phillips, Ruby Gilliom, all of Oxford; brothers, Earl Gilliom Jr. of Oxford, Barney Ray Gilliom of South Carolina, Larry Gilliom of Oxford; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mae Ethel Gilliom; siblings, Earnestine Gordon, Dorothy Joiner, Curley Gilliom, Sonny Gilliom, Clyde Gilliom and Robert Gilliom.
