Shirley Ann Walker Holt

Shirley Ann Walker Holt, 76, of Nesbit, formerly of Holly Springs, died Jan. 29, 2019 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. She was a member of Living Word Ministry in Walls, a 1965 graduate of Mississippi Industrial College with a master's degree from Arkansas State University in 1973. She was a retired teacher with Memphis City Schools.

Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Feb. 8, with family present 6-7 p.m., at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home, and 9:30-10:25 a.m. on Feb. 9 at Mt. Gillie Community Church with services at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Brenda Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a sister, Mae Alice White, and a brother, V.O. Walker, both of Chicago, Ill.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Lavatte Walker, Edgar Walker, Edo Walker, Willie Edward Walker; and sisters, Bernice Walker Brooks, Edna Walker Williams and Bessie Walker.
