Savaniel Moore Sr.

Savaniel Moore Sr., 94, of Red Banks, died June 14, 2019, at his home. The widower of Brunetta RobinsonMoore, he was a member of Mt. Newell MB Church, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a board member of the Mississippi Delta Council for Farm Workers for 45 years. He was a farmer.

Services were held at 12 noon on June 22 at Mt. Newel MB Church. Burial was in Mt. Newell Memorial Gardens in Red Banks. Rev. Authur Fitzpatrick officiated. SerenityAutry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves six daughters, Gwendolyn Moore of Holly Springs, Pattie Raimey of Red Banks, Terrie Moore of Memphis, Tenn., Anna Elmore of Chicago, Ill., Elizabeth King of Holly Springs, Mary Munn of Memphis; four sons, Sidney (Jeanette) Moore of Portland, Ore., David (Georgia) Moore, Ronald (Pamela) Moore, Thomas (LuBertha) Moore, all of Memphis; one step-son, Othello (Mary) Robinson of Holly Springs; one grandson he reared, Steven Moore of Red Banks; two great-grandchildren he reared, Demontre Moore of Red Banks, and Pvt. 1st Class Terrence Aldridge of Camp CaseyDongducheon, South Korea; one sister, Celestine Moore of Chicago; 38 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Savaniel Moore Jr. and Sylvester Moore.
