Sam Allen, 67, of Memphis, Tenn., a native of Benton County, died Nov. 28, 2018. He was a church trustee and a businessman.
Services were held on Dec. 2 at Miracle Temple Salt & Light Ministries where he was a member. Bishop L.T. Mason officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves one daughter, Marcha E. Allen of Memphis; two sons, Brian C. Allen I (Armentina) of Memphis, and Dennis R. Pegues Jr. of Bangor, Maine; his mother, Magnolia Hudson Allen of Lamar; five siblings, Charles Allen (Patricia) of Olive Branch, Melvin Allen (Georgia), Arther Allen, Helen Thomas and Margie Holcomb (Dwight), all of Lamar; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by a brother, James Allen Jr.
