Ruther Jean Mabry Sims

Ruther Jean Mabry Sims, 60, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 8, 2021, at Alliance Healthcare System in Holly Springs. She was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Chuch and a former church stewardess. She was a retired billing clerk from Fed-Ex.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 16 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Wilkins officiated. J. F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, John A. Sims; three children, Krystel Sims of Southaven, Brandon Sims of Horn Lake, Johnathan Sims of Southaven; mother, Mattie Pearl Porter of Holly Springs; two sisters, Linda Walker of Olive Branch, Sherry Mabry of Holly Springs; two brothers, Roger Porter Jr., Tony Mabry of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by a sister, Genie Crane.
