Roosevelt Walls

Roosevelt Walls, 84, of Red Banks, died Dec. 31, 2020, at his home. He was a member of Christ Temple Church of God in Christ in Holly Springs where he served as a deacon, and former usher board president. He was a retired supervisor with Illinois Department of Corrections.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, at Pleasant Grove MB Church Cemetery in Red Banks. Dr. Albert Pass will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Lurline Jones Walls ; daughter, Annette Hunter of Hinesville, Ga.; two sons, Edgar Lee Walls of Byhalia, Roosevelt Walls Jr. of Brownsville, Minn.; two sisters, Mable Martin of Memphis, Tenn., Georgia Ford of Crete, Ill.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mae Walls and a brother, Frank Walls III.
