Ronald Odell Johnson
Ronald Odell Johnson, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Waterford, Mississippi, on January 9, 2024. He was born in Mt. Pleasant on June 23, 1948, to William Odell Johnson and Callie Emaline McLeroy. Ronald was a former Tax Assessor for Marshall County, Mississippi, a supervisor at Wurlitzer, and a United States Army Veteran. He was a cattleman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Ronald is survived by two sons, Heinrich Johnson (Jackie) of Coldwater and Richard Johnson (Tina) of Abbeville, and a daughter, Tanya Snow (Bobby) of Waterford. He also leaves six grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Bobby Snow Jr, Devin Johnson, Hunter Snow, Kristen Snow, and Katelin Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Dani Lynn Johnson, Levi Snow, Bryleigh Snow, Kendall Snow, Heinrich Johnson, Dixie Snow; five sisters, Frances Westmoreland of Potts Camp, Mary Ann Day of Holly Springs, Evelyn Watkins of Waterford, Christine Martin of Waterford, and Debbie Culver of Waterford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Johnson; and a sister, Linda Fisher.
Services for Ronald Johnson were held in the chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2 p.m. Burial was held in Spring Hill Cemetery, with Bobby Snow officiating. Pallberers were Bobby Snow Jr, Hunter Snow, Devin Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Adam Still, and Steve Gurley.
