Ronald Douglas Smith Sr.

Ronald Douglas Smith Sr., 65, of Byhalia, died December 25, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church in Lake Center and a supervisor at Thomas and Betts in Byhalia.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Anderson Chapel CME Church. Rev. Michael Adams officiated. Burial was in Charity Hill Cemetery in Lake Center. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Angela Rayford Smith; daughter, Rachel Brooks of Cordova, Tenn.; son, Ronald D. Smith Jr. of Memphis; stepchildren, Carmen Maldonado, Skylar Saulsberry, both of Byhalia; sisters, Delois Wilbourn of Potts Camp, Agnes Nelson of Norforlk, Va., Lola Adams of Memphis, Mona Davis of Holly Springs, Marcia Smith of Potts Camp; brothers, Howard Smith of Holly Springs, Ralph Smith of Waldorf, Md., Vincent Smith of Potts Camp, Kevin Smith of Norfolk, Reginald Smith of Waterford; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Arristine P. Smith.
